Willie Kathryn Suggs Licensed Real Estate Brokers, located in the heart of Historic Harlem, is headed by owner-broker Willie Kathryn Suggs.

She was the first to sell a Harlem home at the $500,000; $650.000; $750.000 $850,000, $925,000 price points. Her firm was the first to sell a Harlem row house for in excess of $1,000,000. That landmark sale, of $2,005,000 was achieved in 2002. Ms. Suggs was the first to obtain one bedroom rentals above $1,300, and the first to obtain two bedroom rentals above $1,750.00 uptown. The firm has also found homes for buyers for as little as $215,000 for a two family renovated home, and $90,000 for a five5 room pre war co-op. The office represents bank foreclosures, short sales and market rate properties in all price ranges. Suggs’ office was the exclusive broker for the Hamilton Heights-Washington Heights HomeWorks site. That site of 30 homes was the first to close title with the City of New York; the first site to begin construction; and the first site to close all of its' properties. Her office also marketed the Harlem-West HomeWorks site of 30 properties for the Abyssinian Development Corporation.
Ms. Suggs, an acknowledged expert on the Upper Manhattan real estate market, is frequently sought out by the news media to comment on the current state and future of the market uptown. Ms. Suggs' office is the proud supporter of numerous community groups. Sponsorships include the first ever Harlem United Show House for Aids Research (1998.) Her office has provided substantial financial support to the annual Hamilton Heights Homeowners House and Garden Tour; the Mt. Morris Park Historic House Tour, the West 119th, West 146th, West 159th and Hamilton Terrace Block Associations; The Children's Art Carnival; Figure Skating in Harlem; and the Johnnie Hartman Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Ms. Suggs came to real estate after a successful career in television journalism. She was a news reporter and show producer at WITI-TV 6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a staff news reporter, and show producer in the ABC TV network news division. Ms. Suggs was the staff writer and served as an associate producer on the award winning prime time series, "All American" that profiled such celebrities as Diana Ross. She was elected and served more than decade on the governing council of the Writers Guild of America, East.
A graduate of Columbia University with a Masters Degree in History,
Ms. Suggs was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Marquette University.
Ms. Suggs offices occupy the entire four story row house the firm owns in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of West Harlem.
